Spending sixteen weeks in Central America means that Costa Rica will always have a special place in my heart for so many reasons. The landscapes are stunning and the sunsets were breathtaking. When you see the national parks and beaches and just a small amount of the biodiversity out there, it is obvious why these areas are protected and why Costa Rica is one of the countries leading the way environmentally. The people are full of warmth and care about their environment and communities.
I slept in the jungle, witnessed a smoking volcano, visited sustainable chocolate and coffee plantations, had hummingbirds land on my hand, stayed on a dairy farm, survived the rainy season, volunteered and had the absolute joy of capturing this beautiful country on camera. Absolutely priceless.
I have only included a few highlights here on the blog, but you can view all my images and purchase them on my SmugMug gallery and even purchase my book at Blurb. The book is virtually at cost and the profit added to round up the price, will be donated to Raleigh International, along with any purchases of prints from the viewing gallery.
