How Asian weddings are styled for impact

I was thrilled to be asked by the lovely Sharn of Desi Bride Dreams to capture her styled Asian Wedding photoshoot and you can see the creativity of it featured online on her website and on Secret Wedding Blog. For my blog post I thought I would share how I learned from the best, how Asian Weddings are styled for impact, because it is incredible.

Colour is king and it simply fills you with joy. Vibrant colours bring things to life and gold is a must.

The glitz of sparkle really does add a bit of glamour to the styling. I adored the sequin table cloth.

Cake is Cake
Every party of every kind needs a great cake and like any styling item, the cakes are created to tie in wonderfully.

The attention to detail is what helps to create the wow factor. Those gold knives and forks are a great example of how going the extra mile adds to the impact.

Think movie film backdrop and you’re there. All the ornate detailing adds to the scenery feeling so luxurious.

This is not about doing it yourself. This is about what creative stationery artists can exquisitely produce for you. I was a little in awe of the perspex menus in this shoot.

Every drape and pleat in these amazing outfits counts. I watched in fascination as the stylist placed everything in exactly the right position to flatter the figure and maximise the ornate detailing on these beautiful fabrics.

Hair & Make Up
If you can’t feel amazing on your wedding day, then when would you and as these looks show, it is about feeling more special.

Nothing is left to chance and every candle, flower and dress seam is placed for perfection.

I adore that every look is about as though you are going to be on the front cover of a magazine. Think Hollywood red carpet and don’t even think about being casual. Who doesn’t like to get properly dressed up. Move over not making an effort, because being glamorous is way too much fun.
