Nicaragua

My couple of visits to Nicaragua during my time in Central America have left me with memories of volcanoes, warm sunshine, the smell of wood burning, the sound of pigs and chickens and the heartwarming generosity of the locals. I was lucky enough to ‘homestay’ whilst volunteering there and it makes the whole experience of travelling so much more. My images here have been taken in the two communities of La Laguna and Isidrillo, amongst other places and I will be bringing you the highlights of Leon in a future blog post. I will also be publishing a book on my time spent in the homes here and what it is like to live in a community without much water.

I have only included a few highlights of Nicaragua here on the blog, but you can view all my images and purchase them on my SmugMug gallery and even purchase my book at Blurb. The book is virtually at cost and the profit added to round up the price will be donated to Raleigh International, along with any purchases of prints from the viewing gallery.
